L-3 Communications ESSCO Recieves Northrop Grumman’s Prestigious Gold Supplier Award

CONCORD, MA, April 19, 2004 — L-3 Communications ESSCO (ESSCO), a business unit of L-3 Communications Corporation (NYSE:LLL), announced today that it has received the Gold Supplier award from Northrop Grumman Space Technologies as a result of its outstanding performance on a contract to supply a 100-foot-diameter metal space frame radome. The award was presented at Northrop Grumman’s first Suppliers’ Recognition Day held at its facility in Redondo Beach, California. A supplier to Northrop Grumman for more than 20 years, ESSCO was one of less than 15 companies, out of more than 1400, to be recognized as a Gold Supplier.

As part of its commitment to customer satisfaction, Northrop Grumman evaluates and rates vendors in the areas of management, quality, technical, schedule and financial abilities. To qualify as a Gold Supplier, a vendor must achieve a 98–100 percent performance rating for 12 months, making the designation particularly notable for all honorees.
